Long time, no post!

My goodness!

Time flies! And I have neglected to post my musings in a very long time. So, here I am. I've had a wonderful breakthrough just this weekend with my prayer life. My Penance for Confession Thursday night, was to meditate on the Sacred Heart of Jesus and Immaculate Heart of Mary. Also, to ask every day to be like Jesus in thought, word, and deed. I had a VERY trying weekend. It wasn't until shortly before Mass on Sunday that it occured to me to try to ALWAYS keep the Sacred Heart of Jesus in the forefront of my mind. To not let anything disturb my inner peace. To let everyone and everything be seen through rose colored, Sacred Heart of Jesus, glasses.

AND IT HELPED. I even took 2 toddlers to Mass with me and kept my cool when they were trying to go bonkers or were tired and doing their human amoeba act. :)

For some reason, Sundays are quite hard. I get discouraged by certain family dynamics and then start to think I shouldn't even go to Mass! But I fight that with all my heart! Because 1.) I need Jesus' strength in the Holy Eucharist 2.) It must be a temptation or an attack that always happens before Mass 3.) Our family needs all the graces we can get! 4.) I want the children to go to Mass as much as possible.

Thank God, that He helps me to always get to Mass and not cave in to these negative feelings and thoughts. I always feel better after Mass. The hard part is ignoring and downplaying the struggles/frustrations/anger before getting there. Enough to just get there.
